Hi there and welcome to my latest edition.
Today’s edition focuses on the major varieties of Amethyst and how they vary from each other and what makes them different to each other.
Purple Amethyst is fairly well known and is one of the most popular crystals, and is found in many places in the world.
But did you know that depending on the actual type, these crystals can work differently?
This depends on where it comes from and its formation and whether it has unique minerals embodied in it, when it can have a different energy.
The lovely Purple Amethyst Point shown above may be easy to recognize as it is the most common of all Amethyst types, the one we simply call “Amethyst”.
But there are quite a few others you may not have heard of and some of them are combinations with other types of quartz.
This article talks about quite a few different varieties, and each of the types have a section explaining what makes them different to the others.
There is brief outline of the properties of each kind and this lists the top metaphysical properties, characteristics and healing attributes of the individual crystal type.
About half of these have their own in-depth page at present. Some of the others will also be written about more fully in the future.
The minerals contained in them will have an effect on how they work. In addition the configuration or structure of each one makes a difference to how they will help you.
Any of these types of Amethyst can occur in a range of quartz formations or configurations explaining how their actual structure can help you.
You can discover the meaning of the formations in the article above. The list of these formations had so many parts that they are divided over two pages, and each of them link back to the other to make it easier for you to learn how they work.
The picture above is Elestial Chevron Amethyst, and seeing these formation/types mixed in one stone makes you aware that it is not simple, as it is quite common for this to happen.
The gorgeous Chevron Amethyst is a favorite of mine and it has its own in-depth page where you can learn more about it.
Every time I have gone to a gemshow I have found new types of crystals and this includes Amethyst varieties but lately there are not many shows being held.
I went to a gemshow in early 2020 and got talking to a seller and was late leaving. A rock-hound lady was still there packing up and didn’t want to take home too much, so she talked me into buying a box of mixed quartz crystals.
I brought home many beautiful formations that are now pictured throughout my site. Since covid there have been fewer gem shows held as people are still fearful of it, so sadly that no longer happens.
You can learn all about the properties of the Amethyst types in my article, and they are all quite wonderful crystals to utilize. Also check out the articles about formations and configurations as they too have an effect on how a crystal can help you.
That’s all for now. I look forward to sharing more of my favorite articles soon.
Love and light Liz
